Nothing About Us Without Us

Cork Accessible Transport

Cork Center For Independent Living provides an accessible transport service for people with mobility disabilities.

Accessible transport is essential for equal participation in all daily activities. One of the single largest areas of concern raised by people with disabilities is accessible transport. Clearly, most forms of transport are very inaccessible for people with disabilities. Our aim is to enhance the participation and involvement of people with disabilities in access to training, to cultural, social, recreational activities and leisure events through the provision of accessible transport and assistant supports.

Service Provision

Service provision revolves around our central booking service located at our offices. All bookings go through reception at our office, we require advanced booking, people with disabilities can telephone with 24 hours notice and arrange to be collected and taken to (and from) their intended destination.

This service
does satisfy the need for a fully accessible public and private transport system.

If you would like more information, please contact us.
